8th Winter World Transplant Games

Thank you to all of you for these wonderful days of the World Transplant Games 2012

Anzère, Switzerland
4 - 9 March 2012

Welcome to the official site of the 8th Winter World Transplant Games.

Transnoworld is delighted to bring this prestigious bi-annual event to Anzère, Switzerland in 2012. With breath-taking views across the Swiss Alps and carefully groomed slopes to over 2'400m, Anzère is the perfect destination to meet transplanted people from all over the world in a friendly and fun environment.

"The World Transplant Games is a contest with all winners. They have all been saved for a great and rich life through a vital transplant. Without donors, none of these transplants would have been possible"

With competitions in many different disciplines from skiing and snowboarding to cross-country skiing and curling, the Winter World Transplant Games provides challenges and excitement in equal quantities and will leave you with memories to take home and cherish.

Nicholas Cup camp for children from 4-17 years

In memory of Nicholas Green, a young American boy who was killed in Italy and whose family donated his organs for the benefit of others, we are proud to offer this fully-supervised camp as a separate event within the Winter World Transplant Games.

Unaccompanied transplanted children from around the world are invited to a week of fun on the snow, to mix with other transplanted children and gain confidence and independence.

"It is such a joy to see them here with their families, to see the children so happy & active. I can see just how well they are doing, clinically I knew they were doing well but here I can see their pleasure skiing, being here, it's magnificent! "

Professor Claude Le Coultre, transplant surgeon, Switzerland.
